On Monday 30 June 2025, Translink and Brisbane City Council’s Transport for Brisbane will launch Brisbane’s New Bus Network across metropolitan Brisbane The network impacts both regular passenger and school services.

Major changes include:

1. The introduction of Brisbane Metro M1 Service from Eight Miles Plains Bus Station to Roma Street Bus Station (replacing the current 111 and 160 services);
2. The introduction of five new services (26, 109, 127, 182, 197) across Brisbane;
3. The merger or removal of multiple services across the current network to improve efficiency, reliability and service delivery. This includes the renumbering of some services;
4. Enhancement of current regional interchanges to reduce congestion on the road network, particularly in the CBD;
5. Redesign of the CBD bus stop network to improve traffic flow;
6. Changes to school services from Monday 14 July 2025;
7. The deletion of the letter ‘P’ from all peak hour express services.

As a consequence, a limited number of services from Redland City and Logan City that travel through the CBD will be impacted. In addition, school services will be impacted from Monday 14 July 2025. Passengers are encouraged to utilise Translink’s digital Journey Planner to be informed of any changes to service routes, service times or bus stops.

The introduction of Brisbane’s New Bus Network is part of a broader effort to improve public transport throughout the Brisbane metropolitan area.
