As part of a major ticketing harmonisation project across Queensland, Translink is rolling out it’s go card digital card to all regional providers operating under the qconnect program.

This project allows passengers to utilise smart devices (debit and credit cards, smart devices and werables) in addition to the go card currently in use. Most regions in Queensland have been integrated into theis program – however, some regions have yet to be integrated.

One region that has yet to see this rollout is Bundaberg, despite rumors and discussions since 2020 that smart ticketing would be introduced. Hopefully the Transport Minister will have the foresight to fund the rollout not just in Bundaberg but the rest of Queensland.
